Book Summery:

When Apple’s mother returns after eleven years away, Apple feels whole again. But just like the stormy Christmas Eve when she left, her mother’s homecoming is bittersweet. It’s only when Apple meets someone more lost than she is that she begins to see things as they really are.

A story about sad endings.
A story about happy beginnings.
A story to make you realise who is special.

My Thoughts:

This was such an amazingly heart-warming story about family and finding a place where you belong. There was so much more to then book then life in high school. Apple went through so much, which in the end made her a stronger person.

When I began reading this story, there were so many times where I could relate to Apple, that I immediately adored her. There are times when everyone  has  a feeling of not being loved and that’s how Apple felt. I thought Apple’s character was developed so well and I LOVE seeing that in books! Del and Rain were so likable too. I was not a fan of Apple so called friend Pillar, she was just so awful!!

Recently, I have been reading some books with outstanding characters that are teachers! Being a teacher I love seeing that! I also like that he was a strong English teacher, sneaking in life lessons.

I think many young readers will enjoy this book as much as I did!!
