Casey Coffield
has a growing list of personal flaws he keeps locked away in his head:

He’s never on time.

His list of IOUs to his best friend is
endless.

Money is always short.

Goals are never in reach.Oh, and he’s decided to add college drop-out
to that list, too. He doesn’t really think that last one’s such a bad thing,
but his family insists it is, so it stays on the list.

On paper, he’s a zero. But in person, when
he’s mixing tracks for a sea of bodies at the hottest clubs and parties, he’s
downright irresistible. Just-right stubble on his chin, body of a boxer and a
smirk that stimulates all the right nerves—women have never been a problem.
They flock to his swagger and fall for his charm…fast.

All except for this one.

Purple hair, gray eyes, a raspy voice and
sass, Murphy Sullivan is a little bit country and a little bit rock-n-roll. And
her and Casey? They have history. He can’t remember it, but she wrote a song
about him—and it’s not exactly a love song. But it is good. Damn good. And
uncovering her inspiration just might be the key to solving a few of his
shortcomings—not to mention open doors to his own big break in the music
industry.
But sometimes dreams get messy when they
collide. Sometimes life changes patterns. A past paints the wrong picture and
futures get cloudy. The only question that remains is who will you choose when
the dust settles—you? Or the girl of your dreams?

There are few authors that I will read their book with even reading what they story will be about, Ginger Scott is one of those. I have read and loved every single one of her books. Of course, some are better than others, but it’s all who the reader connects with while reading. In You Dreams was no different; I loved it and could not put it down. This story is part of the Falling series, but can be read as a stand-alone, although characters from pervious books are in this one too.

Review

Readers who are fans of the Falling Series met Casey in book 3 as Hudson best friend, but now it’s his time to shine and have readers fall in love with him too. There was a lot to Casey other than his manwhoreish ways. He doesn’t have a lot, but his friend Hudson always has his back, even though his own family doesn’t. I love seeing the growth in him from beginning to end. Then there was Murphy, a sweet girl who is an extremely talented singer. Between Casey and Murphy they become one talented couple.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys NA stories, and for anyone who read and enjoyed any thing my Ginger Scott before.

Title: Hawke (Cold Fury, Book #5) Author: Sawyer Bennett Release Date: March 15, 2016

Synopsis: The New York Times bestselling hockey series featuring the Carolina Cold Fury continues as the team’s most notorious party animal gets blindsided by the one that got away. Off the ice, elite defenseman Hawke Therrien enjoys his fair share of booze and good times. And why shouldn’t he? He’s worked his way up from the minor leagues and made himself a star. The only thing Hawke misses from that life is the pierced, tattooed free spirit who broke his heart without so much as an explanation. She’s almost unrecognizable when she walks back into his life seven years later—except for the look in her eyes that feels like a punch to the gut. Vale Campbell isn’t the same girl she was at twenty. As crazy as she was about Hawke, her reckless behavior and out-of-control drinking were starting to scare her. She had to clean up her act, and that would never happen with Hawke around. Cutting him loose was the hardest thing Vale ever had to do—until now. Because she’s still crazy about Hawke. And if he could ever learn to forgive her, they just might have a future together. I first became a fan Nancy Straight when I read His Frozen Heart. I not only became a fan of Nancy, but I also became a fan Dave Brewer. Then I read Fractured Karma and became a fan Mark Brewer. I was sad to see both of their stories end. Then I was given a chance to read, Shroud of Lies by Nancy Straight!

It’s a little hard to write this review because so much happens, but there’s a chance I will give it all away it I write too much (I will try my best to leave out any spoilers!). Like all of Ms. Straight’s books, Shroud of Lies, grabbed me from the very first page. I couldn’t wait to find out who Mark and Davey’s sister was and the journey was full of surprises. I loved uncovering all mysteries with both brothers. Even though, I enjoy Mark, I missed seeing more of Davey, but this was Mark’s journey and the story focused around it.

As sad as I am to see this series go, I cannot wait to see what Nancy Straight creates next. I know it will be just as great as the rest of her stories!

About the Authors:
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
Find me on Goodreads:
Jessica was born and raised in Texas–where she’ll stay because she claims the cost of living in Texas excuses the god-awful weather. She is first and foremost a wife and mother. Because of those two things, she’s also a self proclaimed wino and coffee addict.

She’s always been and avid lover of all types of books, but romances are her main favorites.

Jessica’s husband likes to say reading is her obsession, but she likes to call it her passion…there’s a difference.

Excerpt
“What have you been telling people?” Dexter asked as soon as they were behind the rosebushes.
“Can you be more specific?” Jules said.
“Things about me…what we do.”
“Oh. That.” She bit her lip. “I was doing what you said, making our story embarrassing to an audience.”
He crossed his arms. “By telling my mother you threw yourself at me.”
“It makes a more interesting story. Everyone’s tired of hearing how you’re a big bad lady-killer. I thought you’d be grateful.”
“I’m not. No wife of mine should be throwing herself at anyone.”
“Not even her husband?”
He frowned and pursed his lips, looking deep in thought. “I don’t like it. You doing a pole dance while covered in strategically placed Hershey’s Kisses?”
“Hey, I did not add that detail.” She toyed with her bracelets. “But I like it. And I was trying to be inappropriately personal.”
“Well, stop,” he growled, but then dipped his chin and laughed.

Book Review

Every time I want to find a book that will take me away from everything that is going on in my life, Ophelia London is always my go to author. She writes such easy engaging reads that I never want to put down. Another benefit is that you can read them within one or two sittings, depending on the time you have to sit and read.

Wife For the Weekend was a nice easy read that I was able to read quickly. It had just the right amount of drama and just the right about of adorable times between the characters. I enjoyed reading Jules and Elliot’s story, it wasn’t so much as a second chance novel as it was two people from the past, but you could feel their chemistry from the very beginning, and you now what they say, “Opposites attract.”

I am very glad I got to read this one and I can’t wait to see what Ophelia has up her sleeve next.
