As much as I liked Just in Case, I like Just Close Enough even more. There were so many things I loved about this book. From the characters to the story line, there were times I was laughing, times I was angry and times I was upset. Even though I read the first book, you can read this one as a stand-alone. This book goes back to before the last one started. It was very interesting see P.M. in the book unlike the last one.
While reading Just in Case, I learned a little bit about Polly Anna, I just didn’t know what was really going on in her head. I am so glad I have learned the truth about not only her relationship with Alex, but also about her relationship with Billy, all is not what it seems. I enjoyed Polly Anna a lot she was a sweet girl but also did take any nonsense from anyone. Alex was great too! Who wouldn’t want a man with an accent sweep the off their feet.
There were also tons of twist and turns in this book too! I never knew what was going to happen next and I couldn’t wait to see.
I hope I don’t have to wait long to read Mandy and JR’s story (I hope that’s the next one).

The thing about this book that interested me was all of the secrets going on in the town of Crossroads. Just in Case is the beginning of uncovering them all.
At the very beginning, I though this book was going to bored me and that it was moving too slow. I also think I thought it was moving slow because of all of the southern phrases that I wasn’t used to hearing (although, by the end I loved them all). There were so many twists and turns through out the book and what kept me reads, was that I needed to know what was in Scarlett’s mother’s suicide note. Once I found out, boy was it shocking!
I loved Scarlett, at times I just wanted her to let Revell love her, but I completely understand her hesitations. Scarlett hasn’t had the easiest life and she was such a strong person. Yes, there are times when it’s too much for her, but after a while she picks herself back up. I also love her friendship with Polly Anna. The two over them were both going through something and were able to help each other out a little bit. Then there’s Revell, the perfect southern gentleman any girl would be lucky to have. He also had a lot going on in his past and present and Scarlett was the person keeping him grounded.
As much as I loved the main characters, the secondary ones were great too. I cant wait to read Polly Anna/Alex and Mandy/JR’s stories.
