Book Summery:

Illusionist Ian Black has a talent for keeping secrets. College student Rayne Bevan has a gift for uncovering them. She suspects that the popular performer’s skills extend beyond the stage and that he’s the area’s mysterious and elusive defender of the innocent. In her efforts to uncover the truth, Rayne is swept into the hidden world of the Weir, a magical race who struggle to prevent Earth from self-destructing. Her inquiries expose Ian to those who would kill for his connection to the planet, and as he fights to keep Rayne, and those closest to him safe, they discover a force behind the Weir’s raging civil war—a traitor bent on launching Earth’s Armageddon.

My Thoughts:

What an action pack-thrilling book!!! Fade to Black kept me captivated from the very first page!!!! Since Sue Duff drops us into an action filled scene, the reader wants nothing more then to figure out what’s going on. Yes there were times I was completely confused about what was going on, but all questions were answered in a matter of time.

I also enjoyed reading about each and every one of the characters, they were all truly likable, except for the bad guys! I completely adore Ian Black, there’s so much to him and he seems to have a huge heart. He cares for all his friends and would do anything for them. I like his relationship with Rayne and I want to know how things will end up there.

I can’t not wait to read the second book in the series especially since this one ended in a cliffhanger!
