BOOK SUMMERY:
The hometown hockey hero won’t know what hit him…
Karen Webber is in small-town hell. After her mother’s death, she moved to Corrigan Falls to live with strangers—her dad and his perfect, shiny new family—and there doesn’t seem to be room for a city girl with a chip on her shoulder. The only person who makes her feel like a real human being is Tyler MacDonald.
But Karen isn’t interested in starting something with a player. And that’s all she keeps hearing about Tyler.
Corrigan Falls is a hockey town, and Tyler’s the star player. But the viselike pressure from his father and his agent are sending him dangerously close to the edge. All people see is hockey—except Karen. Now they’ve managed to find something in each other that they both desperately need. And for the first time, Tyler is playing for keeps…
MY THOUGHTS:
I’m a big fan of most of the Entangled imprint and I am very excited about their new teen imprint, Crush. This imprint reminds me of Bliss, but for YA readers and we all know how much I love YA books and Bliss book, perfect combination!!!!
Center Ice is a book in the Crush imprint and it was just as heartwarming and gut wrenching as I thought it would be. Karen’s mother passed away and now she is living with her father, who she met the day before her mother funeral. Then there’s Tyler he is caption on a hockey team and his is the year he could be drafted for the NHL. Everyone loves him and he’s used to take his pick of hockey bunnies, but Karen makes him want more.
I like how the two of them became friends before they started to like each other, yes they noticed each other, but it wasn’t until they hung out that they fell for each other. I thought that both Karen and Tyler were very relatable and realistic. I think the problems they face amongst their families were real and how they handled each situation was very realistic.
Again, Cate Cameron did such a great job writing such an amazing story and I cant wait to read more from her!
